Jean is a part-time paralegal at Krekeler Law, S.C. joining the team in October, 2020. She received her Associate Degree in Applied Science, with emphasis in court reporting in 1982. She has been a practicing paralegal since 1986 in the State of Wisconsin. Initially, she practiced in the areas of real estate, civil litigation, family law, estate planning and probate. Since 2005, she has primarily practiced in the areas of bankruptcy and matters related to insolvency. Her experience has involved assisting in the representation of debtors and creditors in all aspects of cases in chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code and adversary proceedings. She is an active participant in the Western District Bankruptcy Bar Association and a State Bar of Wisconsin Certified Paralegal.

Kathy joined Krekeler Law, S.C in 1993 as a paralegal and in 2000 became the Office Administrator. She works closely with firm’s employees and practice groups to manage the firm’s business functions and align them with the firm’s strategic planning, legal staffing, and technology solutions. She also oversees the management of accounts payable/receivable, support staff, the human resources department, the firm’s financial reporting, vendor relations and facility management. She enjoys wearing many hats and understands the challenges of overseeing a busy and fast-paced law firm.
In her free time, Kathy enjoys travel, the Wisconsin Badgers, reading historical books about the Civil War and places she has visited or lived, party planning and exploring craft breweries with her family.
